Workshop 2 – Introduction to Flash Photography
Sunday 20th October, 10am to 2pm
If you’ve ever wanted to get into flash photography but didn’t know where to start, look no further than this practical workshop!
At this workshop, Pete will run through the differences in photographing under natural light and artificial flash. Following a discussion on the different exposure settings and a run down on the equipment, Pete will demonstrate common lighting positions for photo portraits, with time set aside for you to use and experiment with the equipment yourself. Later in the day we will explore lighting for objects and try our hand at some still life photo art!
If you have a digital camera and tripod, please bring it along. If you have a flash trigger and receiver for your camera, please bring this also. If you are familiar with tethering your camera to a laptop or tablet while shooting, bring this too! If you do not have a camera or flash triggers, there will be some to try.
Please bring a notepad and pen or similar to take your own notes. Tea and Coffee will be provided; you may wish to bring something for lunch.
