Workshops in Life Drawing tutored by Marcin Krupa –

Marcin is a visual artist from Poland specialising in figurative sculpture and painting.
Marcin started his art education at the age of 15 when he entered the Kenar artistic high School, Zakopane. After completing his Diploma, Marcin went on to study Art and Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, and graduated in 2009 with an MA degree in Sculpture. During the course of his studies the artist created multiple large scale figures many of which were commissioned to be showcased internationally.
In Edinburgh he underwent 6 months course of drawing at The Academy of Realist Art. In 2014 he started to run untutored life drawing classes at Leith School of Art and has worked there since.
2018 Workshops – Term 3
Workshop One – Monday 16th April – £15 This workshop will concentrate on developing the skils of drawing body parts like hands, feet, nose, eye, lips.
Workshop Two – Monday 28th May – £15 In this workshop you will be building your drawings of human figure using geometric shapes such as boxes, cylinders and spheres.
Workshop Three – Monday 18th June – £15 The topic here is copying life drawing styles by from classic drawings.
As the classes are short Marcin will start with a generic introduction to each subject and then discuss it individually with every person while they draw.
Suggested materials – Large Sketchbook of cartridge paper (A1) plus smaller sketch pads. Your preferred drawing materials eg. pencils, charcoal, graphite sticks
